Penetanguishene Centennial Museum
Condemned to be closed in 1991, the Museum was saved by an extensive fundraising campaign by the "Friends of the museum". Not only was the original building, saved and updated to 1993 Museum standards and made structurally sound but a new 4,300 sq. ft. addition along with a new band shell, parking lot and Replica Fire hall were added to the site.

The Museum features displays in its original General Store, Lumber Wing, the Great Hall with its changing exhibits, the Penetanguishene Sports Hall of Fame and the Museum's Timber Bay Gift Shop.

The Museum has been carefully preserved and recreated to show a bygone era when John A. MacDonald was the Country's Prime Minister and Victoria was Queen of the Commonwealth.

Located on the shores of Penetanguishene Bay, the Museum grounds offer a quaint but beautiful setting for a gathering in celebration of traditional folk music and tales of our heritage.
