The Battle of Georgian Bay 2001 will achieve several key functions:

• This promotional event will position Your Company/Business as the title corporate sponsor of the Battle of Georgian Bay and a leading corporate supporter of Ontario Tourism and Canadian heritage events.

• The Battle of Georgian Bay 2001 will offer Your Company/Business the opportunity to participate in a proven successful re-enactment event. The Battle of Georgian Bay in 1998 saw over 1000 participants and over 15,000 spectators attending the event.

• The Battle of Georgian Bay, 2001 is an historical event full of color and pageantry, which will increase tourism in the Midland/Penetanguishene area. The Battle of Georgian Bay, 2001 will be the largest War of 1812 re-enactment in Canada and most likely North America.

• The Battle of Georgian Bay 2001 has the cooperation and support of over 150 local merchants and businesses. From participating in the pillaging to providing services and products, a solid joint promotional partnership has developed throughout the Midland and Penetanguishene area supporting the Battle of Georgian Bay, 2001.

• Corporate sponsorship of the Battle of Georgian Bay 2001 will provide you the sponsor, with high visibility of Your Company/Business corporate name, logo and products to the Canadian domestic tourism market and border United States tourism market.

• Historical re-enactments as proven at the 1998 event, draw huge crowds and interest from the public, making advertising exposure for Your Company/Business great and dollars well spent.

LOGISTICS – TITLE CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP

Experience is what the tourism market is demanding and experience is what the Battle of Georgian Bay is going to offer. The Title Corporate Sponsor, who sponsors the Battle of Georgian Bay 2001, will have the advantage of huge promotional exposure over 4 days, encompassing the Towns of Midland, Penetanguishene and Tiny Township as well as the historic site of Discovery Harbour. Six major events are planned over the 4 days, they include:

• The Skirmish at Balm Beach Depot on Thursday evening will mark the invasion of the Americans onto Canadian soil with Tall Ships supporting an amphibious landing of American troops by bateau.
• The Attack on the Port of Midland will feature one of the first re-enactment of a Tall Ship battle in Canada on Friday evening. See and hear the roar of cannon as wooden ships and iron men collide in a clash at sea.
• The Parade and Pillaging of Penetanguishene will see American ships circle the harbour in support of the American pillaging efforts on land.
• The Siege of Magazine Island will feature the arrival of British re-enforcements as another clash of tall ships and men ensues.
• The Battle Aftermath Tour will feature the surgeon performing amputations, nervous British and American pickets and the no-mans land between them. Looters pillaging the dead and wounded. Widows looking for new husbands and never let your guard down as surprise night attacks can occur with no warning.
• The Americans Last Stand will be the stage for the final assault on the Americans in a traditional 19th century land battle. Be on hand as British troops and their allies use the "cold steel" to ultimately prevail over the enemy and raise the Union Jack high into the sky in victory.

LOGISTICAL COMPONENTS:

• Each Battle Event will be focused in different areas of Midland, Penetanguishene, Tiny Township and Discovery Harbour. Promotional exposure will be great as expected attendance is estimated at 30,000 with over 1500 participants from all over Canada, United Stated and Europe.
• The Battle of Georgian Bay, 2001 is guaranteed to be the largest War of 1812 re-enactment in Canada if not North America.

BENEFITS –TITLE CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP

• Exclusive title sponsorship of the Battle of Georgian Bay, 2001.

• Accreditation as title corporate sponsor of the Battle of Georgian Bay, and a supporter of tourism and heritage in the Midland and Penetanguishene area.

• Special Battle of Georgian Bay sponsors appreciation & media reception aboard one of the Tall Ships on Tuesday evening at Discovery Harbour prior to the battle weekend. Space available for up to 8 members, associates or employees of Your Company/Business.

• VIP admission to Discovery Harbour and the opportunity to be aboard a Tall Ship during the attack on the port of Midland on Friday evening. Space available for up to 8 members/associates or employees of Your Company/Business. (Uniforms provided by request)

1. Title Corporate Sponsors name/logo presence in all advance and promotional advertising & publicity promoting the Battle of Georgian Bay and throughout the duration of the Battle of Georgian Bay event. Advertising mediums will include, radio, television, newspapers, flyers, banners, place mats, website etc. On-site promotional booth available.

• Free admission to Discovery Harbour provided to all staff members of Your Company/Business. (Please provide us with numbers)

• Your Company/Business name and logo presence incorporated into a British/American historic ensign (large flag) that will be displayed at all times from the stern of all the Tall Ships. (2 flags given to sponsor as a thank you gift at the conclusion of the event weekend.)

• Name/Logo displayed on the Battle of Georgian Bay website, with a direct link to Your Company/Business web site. Your Company/Business name/logo also present as title corporate sponsor on our home page and sponsors and links pages.

• A Charitable Income Tax Deductible Receipt for the full amount of the sponsorship package made out to Your Company/Business.

SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE -TITLE CORPORATE SPONSOR

The cost of title corporate sponsor of the Battle of Georgian Bay 2001 is the contribution of $10,000.00 payable as follows:

• First payment of $4000.00 due upon signing of the contract.

• Second payment of $3000.00 due six months prior to the event weekend.

• Third payment of $3000.00 due two months prior to the event weekend.
