Built in the late Captain Fuller's backyard on the Ottawa River between 1979 and 1982, the 110 foot Brigantine has sailed the oceans of the world for nearly 17 years, and has clocked over 150,000 nautical miles.

Bytown Brigantine Inc.

     Bytown Brigantine Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing adventure, education and traditional tall ship seamanship training.

     Founded in 1984 by the late
Captain Thomas George Fuller D.S.C.** M.I.D. R.C.N., Bytown Brigantine operates two traditional tall ship brigantines, S.T.V. FAIR JEANNE and S.T.V. BLACK JACK.


Our mission is to help young participants develop the character traits of leadership and responsibility by engaging them in the challenging, fun and adventurous environment of the sea.
