Invitation to Tea

Wasaga Under Siege 2008 invites the ladies & gentlemen of the Nancy Island Historic Site Grand Encampment to take tea on Saturday, July 26th at 3:15 p.m. in the hospitality tent hosted by the ladies of the Incorporated Militia of Upper Canada.  Please bring your own tea cup, plate, spoon and chair.

To satisfy the appetites of our guests, we shall be serving treats from the Georgian Period, some of which were baked by the hands that attended the Fort York Cooking School , this past April.  For a very special treat, sample vanilla ice cream, made at camp by Beth Mitchell.  The afternoon will also include a presentation by Dawn Luckham of the Elegant Thimble sutlery, "Fashion Finesse--Improve Your Impression".  Period music will be provided by David Delouchery.

If you would be attending, please send your compliments to Mrs. Charlene Roberts, astitch@golden.net, at your convenience.  Children accompanied by an adult are also welcome to attend as well.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."
